It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of
Geoffrey Webster WITCOMB, aged 73 years, a retired Police
Officer, who died on Wednesday 18 April 2018.
There is to be a private funeral ceremony followed by a memorial
Service at St. Mary Magdalene Parish Church, Nottingham Road,
Ruddington NG12 5FD at 12 noon, on Friday 27 April 2018.
The Undertakers are A W Lymn, 45 Easthorpe Street, Ruddington,
NG11 6LB. All are welcome to the memorial service.
Donations can be sent to the Undertaker or collected at the Service
for the ‘Children in Distress’ Charity and the Macmillan Nurses
Cancer support.
Geoff joined the City Police in 1964 and began his career on
Northern Division in the Broxtowe area. After the amalgamation
he joined S.O.U., Southern Division at Queens Drive and Beeston.
He was then attached to the Training School and completed his
career at the Meadows, retiring in 1995.
There will be refreshments after at the Keyworth Village Hall.

Have you got the location of the church wrong. It should be Keyworth not Ruddington surely !

I think the Church Service will be at Keyworth not Ruddington. The Post Code I am sure is not Ruddington.

Geoff was a good man who always exuded positivity. He was a friend who I knew from the job and also we lived near each other. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
