Doris Parker
It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Doris Parker, 89 years, who died on 17 July 2018.
The funeral took place on Friday 27 July 2018.
Doris was the wife of Edmund Parker who was a County Officer and served at Beeston, Warsop and rural in the Gamston area. He retired in 1983.
Jean Mankelow
It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of
Jean Mankelow, 91 years, the widow of a retired Police Officer.
She died on Friday 3 August 2018.
The funeral is at 1.30pm Tuesday 11 September 2018 at
Bramcote Crematorium. The Undertaker is Gillotts, The Old
Church, Main Street, Kimberley, Nottingham. NG16 2LL.
Jean was married to Frederick Mankelow who died in 1981.
Jean was a member Newthorpe Parish Council for a number
of years. She was also a keen walker with the Broxtowe Ramblers.
In 1970 she walked the Pennine Way with this group.

Who are celebrating their 70th Wedding Anniversary on Tuesday
18 September 2018.
Both served in World War 2 and William joined the City Police in
the City and combined Force Control Rooms before retiring in 1976.

Dorothy Ellen Plumb
It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Dorothy Ellen Plumb, 88 years, a Police widow, who died on Monday 6 August 2018.
The funeral is at 2.15pm on Wednesday 29 August 2018 at Epperstone Church, Main Street, Epperstone NG14 6BJ.
Dorothy was the widow of Colin Maurice Plumb who died last year. He was a County Officer and served at Carlton and the Force Control Room.

John William Bell MBE
Further to the email regarding the death of John William Bell MBE.
John was aged 77 years and died on Thursday 2 August 2018.
There will be a Church Service at 2.30pm. Thursday 16 August 2018 at
St Cyprians Church, Lancaster Road, Sneinton NG3 7AH. This will be
followed by a private cremation at Gedling Crematorium at 3.30pm.
The Undertakers are A W Lymn, 32 High Street, Arnold NG5 7DZ.
Donations can be sent to the Undertakers or at the Church Service
in aid of the charity MIND.
John joined the City Police in 1960 and served at Central, Canning Circus,
Carlton, Arnold, Radford Road and Sherwood Lodge. He retired in 2001.
In 1987 he was awarded the MBE.
There will be refreshments after at The Lambley Restaurant, Main Street,
Lambley NG4 4PN. All are welcome.
The NARPO Branch Annual Dinner has been arranged for Friday 7th December 2018 at Ramsdale Park Golf Club, commencing at 7pm.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Security Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient day to day operation of the Village Security team. Managing a team of Security Officers, you will provide security for the Village and its guests, ensuring that everyone is greeted in a friendly and professional manner.
Your team will be the initial contact for our guests, work colleagues and contractors so excellent communication skills will be required. Other responsibilities include managing access to the Village, vehicle checks, security foot and mobile patrols of all areas of the Village and perimeter, dealing with security related incidents, ensuring thorough and robust investigations are carried out and being a first aid response.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 168 hours per 4 week period on a flexible basis. You will work 12 hour shifts from 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am on a rolling rota.
As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include working weekends, bank holidays and during Christmas and/or New Year on a rota basis.
