Death of a Retired Officer

William David Jayes

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of William David Jayes, 77 years of age, a retired Police Officer.

He died on Monday 16 July 2018 at home.

The funeral is at 11.30am Tuesday 7 Agust 2018 at Mansfield Crematorium.   The Undertaker is George Hanson, 13 Watnall Road, Hucknall, Nottingham NG15 7LD.

Donations to the British Heart Foundation via the Undertaker or at the Service.

Bill joined the Combined Force in 1970 and served Hucknall, Arnold, Bestwood, Hamilton House and attachments to the S.O.U. and the Vice Squad.     He retired in 1995 through ill health.

There will be refreshments after at the British Legion Club on Beardall Street, Hucknall. NG15 7RA.   All are welcome.

Alan Cunningham

It is with deep sorrow that we have to inform you of the death of Alan Cunningham, 75 years of age, a retired Police Officer.

The funeral is at 11.45am on Friday 3 August 2018 at Mansfield Crematorium.   The Undertaker is Geo. Hanson 13 Watnall Road, Hucknall, Nottingham NG15 7LD.

Donations to Haywood House via the Undertaker or at the Service.

Alan joined the Police just prior to Amalgamation and served at Oxclose Lane and Hucknall where he was in the Control Room.

There will be refreshments after at The Nabb Inn on Nabbs Lane Hucknall.   All are welcome.

Audrey Simpson

It is with deep sorrow that we have to inform you of the death of

Audrey Simpson, 92 years of age, the widow of a retired Police

Officer.

 

The funeral is at 2.30pm. Monday 23 July 2018 at Gedling Crematorium.

The undertakers are Baguley Bros. 500 Mansfield Road, Nottingham.

NG5 2FB.   All are welcome.

 

Audrey was the widow of Jame Simpson, a County Officer who served

at Arnold and the Traffic Department.    He died 16 years ago.

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Catherine Godfrey, aged 90 years, the widow of a retired Police Officer, William Frank Godfrey.      She died on Friday 6 July 2018.

The funeral is at 2.30pm. on Tuesday 17 July 2018 at Gedling Crematorium.           The undertakers are the Co-operative Funeralcare, 69 Gedling Road, Carlton, NG4 3FG.

William Godfrey joined the County Force in 1946 and served at Mansfield Woodhouse, Walesby, West Bridgford and Carlton.

He retired as a Detective Sergeant.

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Frank Hollingworth, aged 85 years, a retired Police Officer, which occurred on 17 June 2018

The funeral is at 2.45pm Monday 9 July 2018 at Bramcote Crematorium.       The Undertakers are Baguley Bros. 500 Mansfield Road, Sherwood, Nottingham.  NG5 2 FB.

Donations to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust via the Undertaker or at the service.

Prior to joining the Police Frank served in the Grenadier Guards for 5 years having enlisted at the age of 18.   In 1956 he joined the City Police and served on Northern Division and then on promotion at Central Division from where he retired in 1986.   Refreshments after at a venue to be arranged.
