I have known Tony since our time together in the Cadets in the late 70’s and formed a great friendship. You will be sadly missed fella, may you rest in peace. Sending my condolences to brother Gary & Sister Tracy.

  4. Such a shock to hear of Tony’s sudden and unexpected death. I first met Tony in the Cadets in 1975 and our paths crossed throughout our service and again two years ago through the same medical condition. Tony was a real friendly guy, a true gentleman. Taken from us far too soon. My deepest condolences to all the family.

    RIP Tony 🙏

  5. Tony was a terrific bloke with such kindness, warmth and humour. We are so sorry to hear that he has passed away far too early. We will always have fond memories of working with him, a true gentleman.

  6. Always a friend, an excellent mentor, and always had a smile for you when you met in person. He was the person who told me that I had to listen to “Shakatak” as I didn’t know what I was missing. I still do, and it is the one thing that will be linked with Tony’s memory forever.

My condolences to Tony’s loved ones and family at this heartbreaking time.

  7. I’ve only just heard and I’m gutted. Tony was a real gent, a lovely fella and a good copper. One of the more thoughtful bobbies. He was my tutor constable when I joined 3 section at Central back in 1981. I knew Elaine as well, so sad.

I remember the time during one of my first interviews, when the offender launched himself across the table trying to head butt me, Tony, in the nick of time read the room and pulled me back, and the perp missed, saving me from a broken nose.

From policing the city, to working the miners strike, we had great times, lots of laughs, and treasured memories. I learned a lot from you, buddy.

    You are missed mate.

    Blessings to your family.
