  5. Carl Jackson, what can one say? A gentleman, character and first class detective. Perhaps more important than those, a truly fine colleague. I’ve spent many a wonderful hour in his company and it was my pleasure to know him. Sincere condolences to Margaret and family, Ron and Val Turner

  6. I knew Carl and his brother Barry when we lived on/off the Bull Farm Estate in Mansfield. They were proud of their physical appearance and would compete with each other on one arm push ups. He always spoke enthusically about his service in the Royal Navy and he was a perfect fit for the Police. He followed me as Detective Sergeant on the Meadows Sub-Division and we always remained the best of friends. Carl was a proud son of England and we thank him for his Service. R.I.P. John
