How very sad. My sincere condolences to all the family. Dave was a lovely polite and contentious bloke. A loyal and very professional officer. One of the old breed.

Sincere Condolences to Ann and family at this very sad time – I worked alongside Dave on Highways Agency (Now Highways England) as his Manager and my wife Jo worked as Police Liaison Officer in the HA Regional Control Centre at Junction 26 and therefore in regular contact with Dave by radio when monitoring incidents. He was a fountain of Traffic knowledge and a respected and helpful member of my team. Always ready to deputise in my absence. A dedicated and valued member of my team. RIP Dave.
