I was introduced to Kev aka “Corky” at Beeston when I first started with the police. He was inspirational in a lot of ways, truly one of life’s real characters with a good heart and was always someone to have on your side if things got rough!
He will be sadly missed.
I was so sad to hear about Kev “Corky” O’DONNELL – another one gone too soon. I had the priviledge to work with him at Sneinton & during the Miners Strike. A very funny – dry sense of humour, intelligent man who was very under-rated. A sad loss.
A great man to work with. I ‘ll always remember your great sense of humour too – I’ll never forget you taking a ride on one of the attractions at Goose Fair! (In full Uniform). Not just a colleague, you were also someone who showed compassion to others.
So sad to hear of Kerry’s passing. A fine copper who showed me round when I started at Russell Drive. His sense of humour and put downs were a joy to see, and the people of Broxtowe knew who was boss.
I loved working with Kev. He was a brilliant old school copper, and one of the job’s big characters. He was hard as nails had a sharp wit whether you were friend or foe.
Sorry you went too soon mate.
So sad to hear about Kev, he was a lovely bloke and a first class Copper one of the best.

A real old character. I first met him in early 1972. He taught me lots of things. Most of them were of great use and some of them were legal.l.
