Notification of the death of a retired Police Officer

Edmund Richard Humphries

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Edmund (Eddy) Richard Humphries, aged 80 years, a retired Police Officer.   Edmund died on Tuesday 22 September 2020.

Edmund joined the Nottinghamshire Combined Force in 1971and served at Mansfield and the Force Control Room.  His collar number was 1755 and he retired in 1993.

  1. A wonderful colleague to work with. Eddy was also a good mechanic when not fighting crime. I worked with Eddy for many years at both Mansfield and Force Control Room and regarded him as a good friend. Although I haven’t seen him since retirement, he will be missed. RIP Eddy.
