Geoffrey Gordon Everitt
It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Geoffrey Gordon Everitt, aged 92 years, a retired Police Officer. Geoff died on the 21 January 2020.
We have just received the notification from the Executor of his will.
Geoff joined the Police in 1948 and retired in 1974 as a Superintendent. We have no further details at this moment. He was resident in Canada and his wife Alice, died in 2004.

In 1972 I was a young detective at Canning Circus when my baby son sustained a fractured skull. Geoff Everitt extended great kindness to me and my family by telling me not to come to work until everything was sorted and my son recovered. I never forgot that kindness and whenever I had any of my officers in similar circumstances i always treated them as i had been treated. Thank you, Geoff. R.I.P
