CHRISTOPHER ALTOFT
It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death of Christopher ALTOFT, aged 67 years, who died on Thursday 10 August 2017.
Chris joined the Combined Constabulary in 1969 and served at Harworth, Worksop, Traffic Dept., Arnold, Mansfield and the Driving School. He retired in 1994 due to ill health.
The funeral is at 11.00am on Tuesday 22 August 2017 at Mansfield Crematorium. The undertakers are the Co-operative Funeralcare, 8 Sherwood Parade, Kirklington Road, Rainworth, NG21 0JP. Donations to Cancer Research via the Undertaker or at the Service.
There will be refreshments afterwards at the Ling Forest Inn, Eakring Road, Mansfield. NG18 3 ED

I knew Chris from our schooldays at Sherwood Hall Tech. Grammar [1961 – 1967] Forest Town, and I always regarded him as one of my best pals there. After school we lost contact but met up at again DPTC Pannal Ash, Harrogate in Autumn 1969 – though he was a couple of courses ahead of me by then.
I was very saddened to read in the Notts Narpo News of his passing, back in 2017, but it is only now that I’ve had the opportunity to offer my personal condolence. Chris was a great guy. RIP.
