Roger Fareham Dean

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Roger Fareham Dean, aged 85 years, a retired Police Officer.     Roger died on Saturday 13 June 2020 as a result of cancer.     Our thoughts are with Jean and the family at this difficult time.

Roger joined the County Police in 1954 and served at Mansfield, Retford, Newark and finally in the Control Room at Eppersone Manor and retired in 1979.    His collar number was Pc 944

The funeral for Roger Dean is at 10.30am Wednesday 8 July 2020 at Gedling Crematorium.    There is a restriction to the number of people attending the Service.    The family has requested that should you wish to attend could you please form a Guard of Honour as the hearse arrives.   Please observe the 2 metre  distance and stay safe.

Book of Condolence – Joseph Briggs

It is with regret that I have to inform you of the death of Joseph Briggs aged 76 years, a retired Chief Inspector Joe joined the County Force in 1965 and served at Sutton in Ashfield, Hyson Green, Worksop, Specials Ops.  He retired in 1995

Joseph died on Wednesday 10th June 2020. Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

The funeral will be at Mansfield Woodhouse Cemetary at 3pm Thursday 18th June 2020

Book of Condolence – Police Widow – Beryl Hind

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Beryl Hind, aged 83 years, the widow of a retired Police Officer.      Beryl died on Wednesday 27 May 2020.   Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

Beryl was the widow of Peter Hind, who died 2016.   Beryl was a former policewoman in the County Force and served at Sutton in Ashfield in the CID.  This is probably where she met Peter.   She retired in 1971.      Peter joined the County Force in 1959 as a cadet and was appointed in 1962.    He served at Beeston, Sutton in Ashfield, Mansfield and Ollerton Traffic, retiring in 1992.   He died 2016.

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Judith Anne Ingram, aged 74 years, the Spouse of a retired Police Officer.    Judith died on Monday 11 May 2020.   Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.        A condolence card as been sent to the family on behalf of our members.

The funeral as already taken place.

Judith was the Spouse of Martin Ingram.    He joined the County Force in 1965 and served at Mansfield, Special Ops and Scenes of Crime Department.   He retired in 1996.

Book of Condolence – Brenda Barnes – Wife of a Retired Police Officer

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Brenda Barnes, aged 85 years, the spouse of a former Police Officer.    Brenda died on Wednesday 27 May 2020.    Brenda contracted the Covid-19 virus and recovered but later succumbed to pneumonia.   Our thoughts are with Michael and his family at this difficult time.

Brenda was the spouse of Michael Barnes a former Police Officer, who joined the City Police in 1965 and served at Central Division and the Dog Section.   He resigned in 1980 due to Brenda ill health and to care for her.

Book of Condolence – Police Widow, Patricia Rose Shooter

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Patricia Rose Shooter, aged 79 years, the widow of a retired Police Officer. Patricia died on Friday 17 May 2020 at her home address.

Patricia was the widow of Allen Shooter (Sgt. 1445) who died in 2010. Allen joined the County Force in 1965 and served at Beeston, Bramcote, Sutton in Ashfield, Radford Road and Mansfield. He retired in 1990 due to ill health.

It is with regret that I have to inform you of the death of John Michael Neaverson, 76yrs that occurred yesterday 21st May 2020 in Devon

John joined the Nottinghamshire Police in 1963 and retired as a Superintendent in 1996,  and served at West Bridgford, The Meadows, Special Branch, Regional Crime Squad, Personnel, Oxclose Lane  and Traffic, he retired as a Superintendent in 1996, he leaves a widow Elaine.

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Iain McKinlay, a retired Police Officer..   Iain died on Friday 15 May 2020.  His collar number was 1191.

Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

Iain joined the Nottinghamshire Police in 1993 and Retired in 2011, he served at Clifton before transferring to patrol the East Midlands Airport. On retirement he continued to work at EMA joined the Border Force

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Philip Proctor, aged 72 years,  a retired Police Officer.   Philip died on Monday 11 May 2020 at the QMC.    Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

Philip joined Nottinghamshire Police in 1975 and served mainly at Eastwood and Kimberley   He retired in 2003.
