BARNEY USED ALL HIS PAST RACING EXPERIENCE TO POWER TO THE FRONT OF THE PACK
WE THREE LADIES WHOSE COMBINED AGES SPAN 213 YRS!!!

WE WOULD SINCERELY LIKE TO THANK EVERYONE FOR THEIR VERY GENEROUS
SPONSORSHIP AND ALSO THE VERY KIND COMMENTS POSTED BY DAN’S FRIENDS AND EX COLLEAGUES.

THERE WERE OVER 3,000 PEOPLE TAKING PART IN THE WALK WHOSE LIVES HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY THIS DREADFUL DISEASE SO YOUR GENEROSITY WILL GO TOWARDS THE GOAL OF FINDING A CURE. EVEN THOUGH THIS WALK IS NOW COMPLETED THE ‘JUST GIVING PAGE’ IS STILL OPEN FOR FURTHER DONATIONS AND YOU CAN ALSO VISIT TO SEE HOW MUCH HAS BEEN RAISED SO FAR.

John Norman Nadin THOMPSON

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of John Norman Nadin THOMPSON, aged 80 years, who died on Tuesday 12 September 2017.

He leaves a wife, Pamela and two sons.

The funeral is at 11.30am on Monday 2 October 2017 at Gedling Crematorium. Any donations to Cancer Research via the Undertaker or at the Service

There will be refreshments afterward at the Admiral Rodney Public House on Main Street, Calverton.   All are welcome.

The funeral Directors are the Calverton and District Funeral Service,  at 20 St. Wilfred’s Square, Calverton, Nottingham  NG14 6FP

John joined the County Police in 1957 and served at Mansfield, Sutton in Ashfield, Bulwell, Traffic Department and Force Control Room before retiring in 1987

I am undertaking a sponsored walk for the Alzheimer’s Society, in memory of Dan who was a good friend & loyal colleague to many during his career as a Dog Handler in the Notts Police. 

As many of you will know Dan fought this devastating disease with a quiet courage for over 12 years, and hopefully one day a cure will be found, so any donations towards this cause will be very gratefully received.

Department of Works and Pensions

The Department for Work and Pensions are currently conducting some research to improve the process of getting State Pension.  As part of this, DWP want to ensure that the services they make reflect the things people need when they get their State Pension.  To help with this, DWP are asking if anyone who is approaching State Pension age or who has recently got their State Pension would be interested in taking part in some research.  This research will ensure that the services DWP make are useful and useable by all.

Death of the Spouse of a Retired Officer

CHRISTOPHER DENT
It is with regret that I have to inform you of the death of Christopher Ian Dent 54 yrs. the spouse of Sharon Dent. Christopher died on the 24th August, 2017 after a two year battle with Cancer.
Christopher was a Sergeant with the Derbyshire Police serving at Ilkeston and Headquarters. He retired in 2012. He leaves a daughter Charlotte. Sharon served at The Meadows and Christopher was known to a number of officers there.
The funeral has been arranged for 12.30pm., Friday, 8th September, 2017 at Bramcote Crematorium, Coventry Lane, Beeston, Notts NG9 3GJ.
