I have just been informed that the Emergency Services Carol Concert will be held at Southwell Minster on Wednesday 6th December commencing at 7pm
I have received the following information today from the National Office the document itself is from the Independent Commissions Office
ICO states that a Force cannot require excessive amounts of personal data from former officers as part of their Injury on Duty Award (IODA) review process.
The requirement for all historical data held about former officers as part of IODA reviews appears to be excessive and in breach of the DPA.
This is also on our website and contained in our updated Aide Memoir-
http://www.narpo.org/life/pensions/injury-pensions/
Notts NARPO will be communicating this information to the Force for comment, it can also be found on the IODPA Site.
Should any member require any further information please contact the Secretary by email at nottinghamshirenarpo@gmail.com

Just a thank you to all the people who gave generously and supported Sonia Kendall with her charity event
Sonia s sponsored swim took place on the 18th November at Lenton baths. Sonia wanted to raise £1000 to buy interactive games to help children going through chemo and radiotherapy. Sonia wanted to make treatment less daunting and help take children’s minds off what they were going through.
Due to your generous donation s the total so far is £3600 !!!!!
(However we know there is more to come. ?
But not only a fabulous amount but even more amazing was the amount of support poolside.
Retired and serving officers swam with and for Sonia who completed her lengths with rounds of applause . Sonia completed her swim ‘ on tow’
Sonia will fulfil her wish for the children s ward but due to the amazing generosity , her gifts will far exceed her original plan and the children’s cancer ward will be getting far far more than first planned.
A testament to Sonia s strength and courage.
The event also had raffle, cake sale s and refreshments. Many brought cakes and helped in making the event very special.
An article is on the Nottingham post website and continued contributions are still coming in .
Any further information or donations , please contact me on my email woodcock_ruth@yahoo.co.uk
