Book of Condolence – Police Widow – Joyce Lillian SALT

It is with sadness that I report the death of Police Widow Joyce Lillian SALT 92yrs, who sadly passed away in a Care Home where she had been for the past two years. Her passing is age related.

Joyce leaves one brother, David with whom I have yet to speak due to his own frailty.

She is the wife of the late Ps275 Edwin (Ted) SALT who passed away in 2011. Ted spent many years working out of the old Gregory Boulevard Police Station, the new Radford Road Police Station and also Bar Lane Police Station. Ted would often be seen riding his Police pedal cycle and smoking his pipe at the same time. Some would say he was of the old school. I personally have fond memories of working with Ted at Radford Road.

At this time there are no known funeral details but I will forward these to members when they become available.

Our thoughts and condolences are extended to David at this very sad time.
