It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of John Barrett,
aged 77 years, a former Police Officer. Our thoughts are with the family at
this difficult time.

John joined the City Police in 1962 and served at Central Division,
Mechanised and the Vehicle Examiners Unit. He resigned from the Police
in 1972 to seek other employment.

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Jacqueline Elliott, aged 75 years, a former Police Officer.    Jacqueline died on Wednesday 22 April 2020.   Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

Jacqueline’s maiden name was Miller and she joined the City Police in 1965 in that name. She served at Canal Street.    In 1970 she resigned and then joined the British Transport Police and served at the Midland Railway Station in Nottingham.    She resigned from there in 1977.

Eileen Margaret Walker

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Eileen Margaret Walker, aged 95 years, the widow of a retired Police Officer.   She died on Wednesday 22 April 2020.  Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

Eileen was the widow of George Henry Walker who joined the County Police in 1954.  He served at Beeston, West Bridgford and the Courts Office.   He retired in 1983 and died in 2007.

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Joyce Rolfe, aged 96 years, the widow of a  retired Police Officer.   Joyce died on Wednesday 22 April 2020.    Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

Joyce was the widow of Thomas Rolfe who joined the County Police in 1952.  He served at Retford and Oxton rural and retired in 1979.     He died in 2007.

Due to the restrictions on attending funerals we have put a condolence book on our website for members to add their comments.

John Alan Parker

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of John Alan Parker, aged 63 years, a retired Police Officer. He died on 4 April 2020. Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

John joined the Nottinghamshire Police in 1983. He started at Beeston, the Traffic Department, both patrol and motorway. He finished his service at Mansfield in the Resolve Unit. He retired in 2011.

Condolence Book – Leslie George Weston

We have to inform you of the death of Leslie George Weston, aged 94 years, a retired Police Officer.    He died on Friday 17 April 2020.   Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

As we are not able to attend the funeral due to the present emergency we have put a condolence book on the site for you to write your comments.

Leslie joined the Leicester Police in 1946 where he met and married his wife June.    He then transferred to Nottingham City Police and served for most of his career in the Scenes of Crime Department.   He retired in 1976 and returned to the Department to continue his work as a civilian.     The photo shows Leslie holding the FA Cup when it was won by Nottingham Forest in 1959.

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Elizabeth
Claire Rawlinson, wife of Colin Rawlinson, a retired Police Officer.
Elizabeth died on 30 March 2020. Our thoughts are with the family at
this difficult time.
Colin joined the County Police in 1957 and his first posting was Sutton in
Ashfield. He then moved to C I D and rose through the ranks to
Detective Superintendent. He retired in 1989.

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Peter Gibson, aged 79 years, a retired Police Officer.   Peter died on Friday 17 April 2020.   Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.

Peter joined the City Police in 1959 and served at Central, Vice Squad and Traffic Department.   He retired in 1990.  Peter was a keen cricketer and bowls player and represented the Force in both sports.    After retiring he worked as a Tax enforcement Officer.  Peter was a Federation Rep for the Traffic Department during his service.

Margaret Ethel Smith

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Margaret Ethel Smith, aged 86 years, the widow of a Harold Digby Smith, a retired Police Officer. Margaret died on Sunday 12 April, 2020.
The funeral is at 10.30am Monday 27 April 2020 at Wilford Hill Crematorium, only close family members may attend.

The undertakers are the Co-operative Funeralcare, 85 Wolds Drive, Keyworth, NG12 5FT.
Margaret was the widow of Harold Digby (King) Smith who died in 2006. He joined the City Police and served on Northern and Central Divisions, C I D, Mechanised and Traffic Department. He retired in 1980
