Book of Condolence – Police Widow, Patricia Rose Shooter

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Patricia Rose Shooter, aged 79 years, the widow of a retired Police Officer. Patricia died on Friday 17 May 2020 at her home address.

Patricia was the widow of Allen Shooter (Sgt. 1445) who died in 2010. Allen joined the County Force in 1965 and served at Beeston, Bramcote, Sutton in Ashfield, Radford Road and Mansfield. He retired in 1990 due to ill health.

It is with regret that I have to inform you of the death of John Michael Neaverson, 76yrs that occurred yesterday 21st May 2020 in Devon

John joined the Nottinghamshire Police in 1963 and retired as a Superintendent in 1996,  and served at West Bridgford, The Meadows, Special Branch, Regional Crime Squad, Personnel, Oxclose Lane  and Traffic, he retired as a Superintendent in 1996, he leaves a widow Elaine.

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Iain McKinlay, a retired Police Officer..   Iain died on Friday 15 May 2020.  His collar number was 1191.

Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

Iain joined the Nottinghamshire Police in 1993 and Retired in 2011, he served at Clifton before transferring to patrol the East Midlands Airport. On retirement he continued to work at EMA joined the Border Force

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Philip Proctor, aged 72 years,  a retired Police Officer.   Philip died on Monday 11 May 2020 at the QMC.    Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

Philip joined Nottinghamshire Police in 1975 and served mainly at Eastwood and Kimberley   He retired in 2003.

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of  Marie Davy, aged 82 years, the widow of a retired Police Officer.    Marie died on Tuesday 5 May 2020.   Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

Marie was the widow of Brian Hugh Davy who died in February of this year.   Brian joined the County Force in 1959 and served at a number of Stations including Hucknall, Bulwell, The Meadows and Arnold.    He retired in 1988.   Neither of the deaths were the result of Covid-19

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Audrey Eaton, aged 92 years, the widow of a retired Police Officer.     Audrey died on Wednesday 22 April 2020 after contracting the Covid 19 virus.

Audrey was the widow of John (Wol) Eaton who joined the City Police in 1951 until 1981.  He served on Southern and Central Divisions and also at Sherwood Lodge.  He died in 2017.

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Thomas Taylor, aged 92 years, a retired Police Officer.   Thomas died on Wednesday 29 April 2020.   Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

Thomas joined the County Police in 1949 and served at West Bridgford, Sutton in Ashfield and Mansfield.  He retired in 1979 and his collar number was 1209.

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of John Brian McKeever, aged 92 years, a retired Police Officer.  John died on Monday 27 April 2020.  Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

John joined the City Police in 1951 and served at Central and Carlton.  He retired in 1977 and his collar number was Sgt 114.

Due to the restrictions on mourners attending funerals we have a Book of Condolence so that you can post your comments.
