It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of John James Willis Marriott, aged 74 years, a retired Police Officer. John died on Monday 30 November 2020. Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.
The funeral is at 11.15am Wednesday 23 December 2020 at Mansfield Crematorium but the numbers attending is limited.
John joined the County Police in 1966 and served at Newark, Kirkby in Ashfield, Selston, Newstead, Mansfield and completed his career at Bulwell. He retired in 1981.

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Alma Dickinson, aged 94 years of age, the widow of John Dickinson, a retired Police Officer. Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.
The funeral is at 3.15pm Tuesday 15 December 2020 at Mansfield Crematorium. It is limited to 30 mourners.
Alma was the widow of John Arthur Dickinson who joined the County Force in 1947. He served at Mansfield, Mansfield Woodhouse, Oldcotes, and Shirehall. He used to organise the Chief Constables Dance at the Sherwood Rooms. He retired in 1978. He died in 2005.

Albert Walker 88yrs died 1.12.20
He was Driver/Handyman at Canning Circus and Central for many years.
Also a good mechanic, often did work on Police Officers cars.
Due to a problem with a member of the family the funeral date has been changed to:
Thursday 24th December 2020 Wilford Hill, West Chapel at 0930.

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Barrie Yates, aged 89 years, a retired Police Officer. Barrie died on Saturday 21 November 2020. Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.
Barrie joined the County Force in 1951 and began his career at Eastwood. He also served at Headquarters, Crime Prevent and other stations and departments. He retired in 1982 as a Chief Inspector.

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Pamela May Bowie, aged 90 years, the widow of a retired Police Officer. Pamela died on Monday 16 November 2020. Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.
Pamela was the widow of Ronald Victor Bowie who died whilst in service. He joined the County Police after completing his National Service. He served at Mansfield, Carlton and Newark.

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Colin Edward Rawlinson, aged 82 years, a retired Police Officer. Colin died on Thursday 19 November 2020. Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

Before joining the Police, Colin served in the Royal Marines and was part of the contingent that went to Egypt during the Suez Crisis. After leaving the Marines he joined the County Force in 1957 and his first posting was at Sutton in Ashfield. After that he served at many Stations and Departments, mainly in the C.I.D. He retired in 1989.
His wife Claire died earlier this year. Colin was a keen golfer and was the Captain at the Coxmoor Golf Club. His son Adrian, will be holding a small gathering at Coxmoor Golf Club once it is safe to do so and will be scattering both Colin and Claire’s ashes on the 7th hole where Claire once hit a hole in one.

It is with deep sorrow that we have to inform you of the death of Catherine Joan Shaw, aged 100 years. the widow of a retired Police Officer, Joan as she liked to be known by died on Wednesday 4th November 2020 after recently celebrating her 100th birthday. Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.
The funeral is on 10.30am Wednesday 25 November 2020 at Wilford Hill Crematorium, Only family and close friends are allowed to attend. Anyone wishing to send flowers can do so but please send a bouquet as they will be taken to the care home that Joan was in. The funeral directors are the Co-operative Funeralcare at Clifton.
Joan was the widow of Harry Shaw who died in 1990. He joined the City Police and served at Clifton and Central and worked in the Coroners Office.

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of John Thomas Mellor, aged 82 years, a retired Police Officer. John died on Friday 13 November 2020 at his home address.. Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.
John joined the County Police in 1958 and served at Mansfield, and Mansfield and Ollerton Traffic. He retired in 1985. His collar number was Pc 1153.
