It is with regret that I have to inform you of the death of Anthony Hackett that occurred in the City Hospital on 6th October 2025
Tony was Sergeant 538 having joined City Police in 1957, he served Beeston, TD(N) Motorcycles, He retired 26/10/86
The Funeral will take place at Beeston Cemetery Chapel at 11am on 29th October 2025, with a burial at 12 midday the Funeral directors are Geniver 116 Station Road, Beeston afterwards a reception at The Boat and Horses, Beeston Rylands.
Our Condolences go out to Marjorie and the family at this sad time

Tony was my first section Sgt at Beeston. We had a great working friendship and had many a pint with him. I have very fond memories of him. Thanks Tony for all the help you gave me when I first started out. RIP mate

Sorry to hear the news about Tony, many happy memories of him at Beeston and during the miners strike when many a time we had to hold the fort with only the two of us. Condolences to the family. RIP Tony.
