NARPO have been informed of the death of Retired Detective Constable Stuart John Bell WILSON a retired Detective Constable. (No service details). He passed away on the 15th August 2025 and according to his record was 66 yrs of age.
It appears Stuart may have relocated to Galashiels area and at this time I am unable to make any contact with family or a relative. If and when I am able I will update members but at this time I can offer no further information.
I have now been able to speak with family and can update as follows:
Stuart sadly passed away at this Lowdham home on the 15th August 2025, the day before his 66th birthday. He had been suffering a long illness.
He joined the Police Service around 1990 but did not complete his 30 yrs due to serious illness. He worked at Worksop Police Station.
He leaves his father, Hugh, Sisters, Glynis and Janice and brother Scott.
A Cremation Service will take place at Sherwood Forest Crematorium, Ollerton, Notts at 4pm Monday 15th September 2025. The family would welcome friends and former colleagues should they wish to attend and pay their respects.
Our thoughts and condolences are extended to the family at this very sad time.
