It is with sadness that I report the death of Retired Police Constable 166 Christopher PARKINSON 85yrs who sadly passed away in the Nottingham City Hospital on the 2nd August 2025 following a short illnes
Christopher joined the Police Service in August 1963 and retired in March 1992. He served at Epperstone, Worksop, Calverton, Clipstone, Cotgrave and also The Dog Section and prior to his retirement worked within Community Affairs.
He leaves his wife Anne, daughters Amanda, Penny and Fiona, 4 grandchildren, Natasha, Nicholas, Emily and Laura and a Great Grandson, Ethan.
There will be no formal funeral. A Direct Cremation will be arranged between family and the funeral directors, Buckinghams Funeral Services of Cotgrave, at a time and date to suit the family and the funeral directors.
Our thoughts and condolences are extended to the family at this very sad time.

Chris was a member of the Notts Police football section and assisted Derek Cumberland to run the first team. A smashing bloke. RIP Wink.

Going back 55 years I have fond memories of Chris when we both worked at Epperstone. I remember him as a fast-talking enthusiastic chap. RIP
