Book of Condolence – Spouse of a Retired Officer – Sandra Jackson

It is with sadness that I report the death of Sandra JACKSON aged 84yrs who passed away on the 16th May 2025 in a Hucknall Care Home after a relatively short illness.

Sandra was the wife of Retired Detective Chief Superintendent Bob JACKSON who retired from the Nottinghamshire Police in 1990.

Sandra leaves her husband Bob and Son Anthony. Sadly they lost a daughter Susan, when she was only 25 years of age. She also leaves Grandson Daniel. In her later years Sandra suffered with poor vision but coped very well with her disability.

There are no funeral arrangements at this time but they will be circulated to members when they are known.

The Undertakers are A.W.LYMN of Nottingham Road, Mansfield, Notts.

Our thoughts and condolences are extended to Bob and family at this very sad time.

  1. Sandy was a lovely lady, respected, compassionate and a wonderful partner to Bob.

I didn’t know Sandy as a result of policing but through Rotary when Sam and I were members, before we relocated to Northumbria.

I am very sad at her passing, but sincerely pleased to have known Sandra, a lovely, warm and loyal friend.

RIP Sandra and thoughts with Bob and the family
