Anna Ludlow
it is regret that we have to inform you of the death of Anna Ludlow, aged 69, a retired member of the support staff and wife of Andrew Ludlow, support staff, died on Sunday 10 April, 2022.
In accordance with Anna’s wishes there is no funeral and the cremation has been arranged by Pure Cremation in Andover.
Anna worked for many years in a variety of admin posts including HQ Admin; Personnel and Training but was perhaps best known as Duties Manager at Mansfield Divisional HQ. She retired in 2014.

I remember first starting to talk to Anna when she was duties manager at Mansfield. Christmas Eve is very important to Polish people for, religious, cultural and traditional reasons, so after a disaster of a shift in my first year in the job and almost not makingit to Wigilia, I decided to apply for leave, in my second year. When I handed over the form, she started talking in Polish to me, which I really didn’t expect. Once we got talking, we realised that we knew a lot of the same people and I knew her sister through Polish scouting. It was always a pleasure to speak to her around the station. We worked on DAWN together and when the Polish police officers came over in 2007 we went out for a meal with them.
I lost touch with Anna but have often thought of her over the years. I was recently thinking about her but didn’t know anyone that was in touch with her as I had been trying to find her sister.
I am so sad to hear of her passing but I am sending my love, thoughts and prayers to Andrew and Marysia.
