  1. I’m saddened to hear of Tony’s passing, he was one of my first Inspectors at the Meadows and just what you needed as a probationer! Very amiable and approachable! I bumped into him many years later after I left the job, he was still the same! RIP Tony.

  2. I was working at Newark when Tony retired from there as Chief Inspector. He was always friendly to me and never stood on his rank. He was also a talented artist and very complimentary to my daughter’s artwork, giving generously of his time and offering sound advice. R.I.P.

  4. I have known Tony since 1967 before I joined the cadets, when he was in the training depart. I worked with him as my Inspector and after he retired. A lovely true gentleman. A sad loss to all who had the pleasure to know him. R.I.P. and many thanks for your guidance. Ex Ps 20 ‘over’

  8. As cadets, Tony and I, polished the office floor of West Bridgford Police Station by skating on dusters. After his retirement it was a pleasure to visit his water colour exhibitions. Fond memories.

  10. One of the nicest bloke I had the pleasure of serving under in my probation at Beeston. The superintendent at the station didn’t see eye to eye with me and told Tony to get rid. Tony and my sgt ignored him and took me through my probation. Later the supt apologised to me stating he got it wrong. Tony was a great man and looked after his men. R.I.P. sir. Safe passage 🇬🇧

  12. Tony was a good man and a dear friend. Our paths crossed mainly through the Police but I was always impressed with his painting talents. We commissioned a painting by him of the Caythorpe Cricket Club pavilion and the result was excellent. He will be missed but never forgotten. My thoughts, prayers and condolences are with his family.
