Sad to hear the news. Dave was my cycling partner on the Gutersloh, Germany (Nottingham Traffic) charity trip. I keep him going to start with and he kept me going at the end of it. Great times and memories. Condolences to Dave’s family from Steve Dring.

Yet another far too early sad loss of a dedicated Officer and colleague. I worked with Dave on FCIU, and shared an LGV course many years ago. He was always a happy friendly chap, with encouraging words for anyone.
Sincere condolences to Trish and all of Davids family.

Such sad news, my sincerest condolences to Trish and the family. I worked with Dave on the motorway when the ARV needed someone from our shift to cover with Dave. It was always a pleasure and Dave was always the epitome of professionalism. Although I haven’t had contact with Dave over recent years, I fondly remember a sunny summer evening with Colin T and I on our motorbikes, Dave and Trish in their beautiful red BMW open top, and another occasion where we spent the evening at the Roebuck reminiscing over past times over a few drinks. Rest in Peace Dave, taken far too soon.

Shocked and saddened to hear the news of Dave`s passing. I worked with him on the M1 and later in the Crash Investigation Unit as an Investigator. Quintessentially English he was quiet and unassuming but under those still waters lay a very loyal, methodical, professional and compassionate human being who was a joy to work with and who was always ready with a bit of quick wit and repartee. Sincere condolences to Trish and family and Godspeed Dave wherever you are going.

I joined with Dave & our Police careers followed a similar path. We transferred to Nottingham Traffic at roughly the same time & ended up working together on FCIU for the last few years before retiring together. A thoroughly decent bloke, he was witty, intelligent & thoughtful. After the long battle he’s fought, may he Rest in Peace. We’ll be thinking of you & your family Trish, but sadly can’t be at the funeral.

So shocked and saddened to hear of Dave’s passing. My heartfelt condolences go out to Dave’s family. So sad not to have caught up with him since transferring to Devon and Cornwall. A thoroughly decent bloke, unassuming with a great sense of humour. Our paths crossed at TD(N) before working together in the FCIU. So sorry I can’t make it to the funeral due to work commitments but I’ll be raising a glass to you mate. RIP Dave. Andy Fletcher.
