    • Hi Simon, I knew Betty from boyhood and as a young man – she was the mother of an old school friend of mine. She had a very nice and friendly personality. She was a nurse who married a policeman but their retirement was sadly cut short by John’s death from cancer. I had by chance been thinking of paying a speculative visit to her last known address on Radford Bridge Road just days before reading of her passing. Was she still living there? Last year, I was speaking to another very elderly acquaintance of Betty’s who had lost contact.
