| NOTTINGHAMSHIRE BRANCH OF NARPO Irene MacKinnon It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Irene MacKinnon, aged 98 years, the widow of Garnet Samuel Angus MacKinnon, a retired Police Officer. Irene died on Monday 29 November 2021. Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time. The funeral is at 11.30am Monday 13 December 2021 at Bramcote crematorium. All are welcome. Irene loved singing and often entertained the customers at the Five Ways Public House at Sherwood. Garnet served in the RAF during WW2 and was shot down over Germany and was a P.O.W. until the end of the conflict. He joined the Police in 1949 and served at Carlton, Canal Street, and Shire Hall.
