
It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Jan Curtis, aged 76 years. Jan died at her home at Farnsfield on Tuesday 2nd November 2021.
She was the widow of Michael Noel Curtis who transferred to Nottinghamshire Police from the Essex Constabulary in 1992 – on his appointment as Assistant Chief Constable. He retired in 1999 following a secondment from the Force, to PITO (Police Information Technology Organisation) at the Home Office, whilst holding the rank of Deputy Assistant Commissioner.

The funeral is to be held at 12 midday on Friday 26th November 2021 at St Michael’s Church, Farnsfield, followed by family cremation at Mansfield Crematorium.

Sorry to hear about this. Mr Curtis was really helpful to me when I suffered deafness. I won’t forget his kindness at a difficult time.

So sorry to hear of Jans passing. I worked with Mic and my wife and I met Jan at several police functions. Lovely lady.
