It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Sylvia Blanche Wainwright, aged 85 years, the widow of Robert Wainwright, a retired Police Officer. Sylvia died on 22 February 2021. Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.
The funeral has already taken place.
Robert Wainwright joined the County Force and served at Newark and rural at Coddington. He died 35 years ago.

RIP Mrs Wainwright I have fond memories of visiting you and your family at Langford and of when you lived in one of the Police houses in Collingham. You always made me feel welcome. Your husband was my inspiration to join the Police, from when he was the village Bobby and our Scout leader in Collingham. Condolences to your family from myself and my family.
