Anthea Sleigh
It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Althea Sleigh, aged 90 years, the widow of a retired Police Officer. Althea died on Friday 19 February 2021. Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.
Althea was a civilian with the Force working in the Crime Stats. Office. She was the widow of Kenneth Raymond Sleigh who died in 1977. He joined the County Force and served at Epperstone and Bestwood and retired as Inspector.

Anthea was a Det Insp|s dream.The lady could could find extra detected crime numbers from the most unlikely sources.. I remember she helped me on many occasions with my crime stats. .A lovely lady Michael Soult

I and the whole of my family have known Althea as a neighbour and friend for more than 40 years. During the early years I would take her to work at Sherwood Lodge and she would babysit our two young children, so they have known her all of their lives. We are lucky to have known her as a friend over this time and she will be sadly missed by us all.
