It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Lewis Bradford, aged 91 years, a retired Police Officer. He died on Thursday 21 January 2021. Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

Lewis joined the County Force in 1954 and served at Bingham, Radcliffe on Trent, Stapleford and Mansfield. He retired in 1980. His collar number was 1259.

I remember Lew from my early days at Bingham an unflappably copper and a gentleman.

Met Lew when I started as a cadet at Bingham. Good solid copper who was very supportive to us cadets.

I to knew Lew during my early uniform days at Radcliffe on Trent and Bingham. A real steady good policeman and a true gentleman . R i p Lew.
