  5. A great Gaffa and just a 100% nice bloke. Introduced me to the sport of Tug of War which gave me a lot of pleasure in the late 70’s/early 80’s.

  6. Jack was a thoroughly nice chap. He was the duties Inspector at Worksop when Joy & I served there, he was always fair & treated everyone the same. I was in the Tug o war team and he was a great trainer. I can see him smiling now, when the Bassetlaw team won the sports day event again & again. A true gentleman.

  7. My first Inspector when I joined at Worksop. Thoroughly nice man who had my utmost respect. Very persuasive in his efforts to get you enrolled in the Tug of War team! Often saw him and his good lady shopping in and around Mansfield – always happy to stop for a chat and reminisce.
