Deepest condolences to the family.. will always remember Bruce with fondness, what a great character. First met him when we were working out of Queens Drive he insisted in calling the D.S. “Sailor “ much to his dismay. I met him later in service when he became the Navigator of the yacht we we racing in the Police Offshore Sailing Championships.
A true gentleman will be sorely missed.

To Jan and family – with Deepest Sympathy.
It is with great appreciation that I had the privilege of working with Bruce during our time at Hyson Green and Beeston. He was always so loyal and caring in every aspect of police work, continually admired by all colleagues and members of the public. His previous naval qualifications encouraged so many of us to go sailing with him, on voyages he sponsored in raising money for “Guide Dogs for the Blind and the RLBI”. While he was at the helm everyone was safe. RIP Bruce.
