Barry and Maureen were very close friends of Joan and myself in the sixties when for years Barry and I had shared the same shift in uniform at the the old Hyson Green Police Station then Gregory Boulevard Station. So many memories with a strong trust and bond in each other that grew and can only be formed by years of policing together.
Our kids were born at similar times and I have even more memories of Robert and Lainey growing up on Bar Lane and many Police Children’s Christmas parties shared together. Happy memories that will forever be a part of my life. So very sad to hear this news as I was with Joan and Barry’s leaving.
Sincere condolences to the family.
With love from Ralph Osborne.
