Notification of the death of a Police Widow
Hilary Patricia Hallam
It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Hilary Patricia Hall, aged 82 years, the widow of a retired Police Officer. Hilary died on Tuesday 15 September 2020. Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.
Due to the present pandemic the numbers attending the funeral are limited
Hilary was the widow of Derek Gordon Hallam who joined the County Force in 1960. He served at Mansfield, Bingham, Kirkby in Ashfield, Retford and retired in 1991 at Sutton in Ashfield. He died in 2016.

My best wishes to the family, Derek was my Inspector when I was promoted to Sergeant at Sutton in Ashfield. I remember Hilary looking after me when we all got snowed in at Sutton one year and Derek took me home with him. They plied me with copious amounts of beer, wine and whisky plus food and I will always remember that time and working with Derek with fondness. Best wishes Steve Payne.
