Joan celebrated her 100th Birthday on 3rd September 2020,
Joan’s sister and brother in law at the back and a daughter-in-law not in picture at the back of the shelter attended.
Joan was the widow of Harry Shaw who was a City Police Officer, and probably retired a a Sergeant, after retirement he took a post in the Coroners Office, no one knew anything else about his career.
She seemed very pleased that PC Paul Henson from the local team attended I thanked him and his Sergeant who arranged his attendance.
The home had entertainment on for the residents I.e singer. and COVID restrictions appled

I remember Joan very well. She and Harry were neighbours of my parents in the late 70’s early 80’s. Harry had retired before I joined the Police but was working in the Coroners Office when I joined.
Happy birthday Joan.
