Beryl Hind

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Beryl Hind, aged 83 years, the widow of a retired Police Officer.      Beryl died on Wednesday 27 May 2020.   Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

Beryl was the widow of Peter Hind, who died 2016.   Beryl was a former policewoman in the County Force and served at Sutton in Ashfield in the CID.  This is probably where she met Peter.   She retired in 1971.      Peter joined the County Force in 1959 as a cadet and was appointed in 1962.    He served at Beeston, Sutton in Ashfield, Mansfield and Ollerton Traffic, retiring in 1992.   He died 2016.

  1. It is with sadness that I heard of the death of Beryl Hind. Beryl, her late husband Peter, and I were part of the CID team at Sutton-in-Ashfield in the late 1960’s/70. Sandra joins me in sending our condolences to Julie and family.

  3. Really sorry to hear of the passing of Beryl. I last saw her at a Fly Fishing competition at Carsington water where she presented the winner with the Peter Hind Soldier Palmer Memorial Trophy. This trophy was presented in memory of her husband Peter who was a much missed friend and fishing buddy who is fondly remembered by all of the Fly Fishing club. Our thoughts are are with the family at this sad time.
