  1. Sad news. Served with John at Beeston and then Traffic, both Nottm wing and the motorway. John was one of the quiet unsung heroes, totally reliable and trustworthy. He was a valued member of the motorway team.

  9. Worked with John on the same shift at Nottingham Traffic in the mid 1980’s. He talked me into doing the Robin Hood Walk for charity – exhausting for a traffic man. He was very professional in everything he did.
God bless. Condolences to the family.

  11. Very sad news. John was one of the officers who took their time to welcome me onto the shift as a newbie Traffic Officer in 1988. Although I spent the majority of my time on the ARV, I did spend occasional shifts with John. Always a gentleman and professional. Condolences to Gaynor and the family. R.I.P John.
