Dear Member
We have been receiving queries with regards to the Travel Insurance and where people stand should they cancel their holiday.
Below is the response I received from the National Office
As all individuals are different the following is what a member should follow:-
Members should contact their insurance provider
If they are Members of the NARPO Travel Insurance Scheme, they need to speak to Towergate.
We cannot advise on such matters.

Is the NARPO INSURANCE good for Retired Officers with Medical Conditions?

Yes Phil
They tend to accept existing conditions or they did a few years ago when I first applied

Tried to contact Towergate as advised the reply from them (having given the policy number) was ‘unfortunately we do not have access to that policy here you would need to speak the the the Police Federation directly’
We have booked to go on holiday to Fuertaventura for 7 days on 23/3/20 and would like some advice as to whether to go or not.
I consider myself to be fit and healthy at 67, but have annual CHD reviews.
I have also tried to contact Notts narpo and Notts Police Federation
I have tried to speak to my doctor but been batted off each time with the advice to look on the nhs and gov websites which appear to just advise against cruises.
Please help.
