Notification of the death of a retired Police Officer

It is with sadness that we have to inform you of the death of a retired Police Officer, James Derek HIGHFIELD, aged 84 years of age, who died on Friday 23 February 2018.

The funeral is at 1.00pm. Monday 12 March 2018 at Sherwood Crematorium at Ollerton followed by a service at 2.00pm at St Anne’s Church, Newcastle Avenue, Worksop. S80 1NJ.

There will be refreshments after at the Shireoaks Inn, Westgate, Worksop.  All are welcome.

The undertakers are Dolby Funeral Services, 98 Lowtown, Worksop S80 2RJ

Derek, as he liked to be known as, joined the RAF in 1955 to do his National Service for 2 years.   In 1957 he joined the County Police and served at Worksop, Radcliffe on Trent and moved to Harworth on promotion in 1971.    He completed his service in Bassetlaw Division retiring in 1985.

A condolence card has been sent to his wife Jean on behalf of the Members of NARPO.
