Our thoughts and prayers are with Mary at this difficult time.
Bill Lawton was my mentor when I was appointed to CID at Beeston in 1969. Both he and his lovely wife Mary were my friends. I am shocked and saddened by his passing. Bill was not only a first class detective. He was one of natures gentlemen. ..A vary rare human being.

Brian Peebles worked with Bill. Irony that they departed so close together. Sad times but many memories. Sorry for your loss.
